Stable View

Garrison, New York

Originally part of a 19th-Century working farm, this carriage house sat dormant for many years. Purchased by a couple with a growing family, JWRA was sought out to reconfigure the former stables. With four bedrooms, chef’s kitchen, dining, and library that synergize with the Victorian style. Magnificent views of the Hudson River and original stall dividers were employed as room divers between the living and keeping rooms. A grand staircase salvaged from a nearby manor house graciously linked the two living levels. While preserving original details, the new design seamlessly integrates modern elements presenting a warm family home perfect for entertaining and backyard soirées.
