Welcome to Jeff Wilkinson's portfolio of Architecture. Included is a range of projects from Main Street buildings to single family homes. Our work is concentrated throughout the Hudson Valley, the Catskills and the New York City metro area. The firm maintains a studio atmosphere and is dedicated to carrying the design concept through the planning process and complexities of budget and construction.
Living and working in the Beacon-Newburgh area has afforded me the opportunity to embrace the work of Andrew Jackson Downing, Calvert Vaux and Frederick Withers. Downing's introduction of the verandah and porch, linking home and garden is a theme we continue to emulate. Sustainable design and energy efficiency are essential components of each project. Timber can be harvested locally, bluestone quarried from the Catskills and salvage items integrated into new work.
Significantly, the Hudson Valley lays claim to the birth of the environmental movement and has a population increasingly dedicated to solving land use and preservation issues. It is also an area with a growing farm-to-table movement. We seek to promote this vision whenever possible.
